Rajasthan Royals qualify for playoffs, Kings XI Punjab, Mumbai Indians eliminated
After 54 matches in the Indian Premier League which have spanned six weeks, two teams are in contention for the one remaining playoff spot as the tournament enters its last day of round robin matches.

Sunrisers Hyderabad, Chennai Super Kings and Kolkata Knight Riders have all booked their spot in the knockout stages and Royal Challengers Bangalore, Delhi Daredevils are definitely out of contention. That leaves three teams – Rajasthan Royals, Mumbai Indians and Kings XI Punjab with the chance.

Rajasthan Royals – Rajasthan Royals qualified for the playoffs after Chennai Super Kings defeated Kings XI Punjab by 5 wickets in Pune.
Punjab needed to win this match by atleast a margin of 53 runs which they failed to achieve. RR are the fourth and final team to qualify for the playoffs.
Mumbai Indians – Mumbai Indians had a better Net Run Rate than Rajasthan Royals and Kings XI Punjab and just needed to get past Delhi Daredevils to make it through Playoffs. But the side made a total mess of the run chase of 174 as they lost the match by 11 runs and were bowled out for 164. The result has seen the defending champions making an early exit after sitting on 12 points in 14 games.
