Startup dishes out food cooked by robotic kitchen A Bengaluru -based startup Mechanical Chef has designed a robotic kitchen that can cook a variety of Indian dishes ranging from matar paneer to bisi bele bath without any human intervention . The startup founded by a team led by a former Machine learning researcher at Microsoft and an aerospace engineer who worked on the moon rover at Team Indus , have built a prototype that can cook over 20 Indian dishes. The robotic kitchen was developed with funding from Department of Science and Technology , is undergoing user trials and hopes to launch a commercial product that would be as big as a microwave oven next year. “We are trying to save two hours (of a person) in a day. IBM introduces Project Debater, pits computer against humans IBM  pitted a computer against two human debaters in the first public demonstration of  artificial intelligence  technology it's been working on for more than five years . The company unveiled its Project Debater in San Francisco on Monday, asking it to make a case for government-subsidised space research - a topic it hadn't studied in advance but championed fiercely with just a few awkward gaps in reasoning. "Subsidising space exploration is like investing in really good tires ," argued the computer system , its female voice embodied in a 5-foot-tall machine shaped like a monolith with TV screens on its sides. Such research would enrich the human mind , inspire young people and be a "very sound investment," it said, making it more important even than good roads, schools or health care. PHONEPE  AND OLA  PARTNERSHIP 2018 D igital payments platform  Phonepe  has partnered with  OLA   to launch the ‘industry-first’  AutoPay  feature. The integration with ride-sharing platform will allow PhonePe users to pay for their mobility needs . Under the partnership , PhonePe users will have access to OLA’s commuting offerings for a hassle-free cab and auto booking experience, the company said in a statement. Through AutoPay , users will need to link their preferred credit/debit card for a OLA ride in the PhonePe app . Once it is done, their ride-fare would automatically be paid at the end of every ride . Users will have the flexibility of setting and switching off AutoPay instructions anytime they want.
